Therapy Localization in Applied Kinesiology: Validation by Means of Blinding in a Cohort Study

A cohort study in which a Diplomate in Applied Kinesiology tested the middle deltoid of 36 volunteers while the patient was shielded from view, so the examiner could not see which area the patient was touching. A research assistant cued each patient, in random order, to touch C6 (proposed to be active in therapy localization of the middle deltoid), C2 (an inactive region) or the right knee.

The only significant change in muscle response was recorded when patients touched C6.
