What is Applied Kinesiology?
It is a diagnostic tool using manual muscle testing to evaluate the relationship and links between the biomechanical, biochemical and emotional aspects of a clinical presentation.
Why should I use Applied Kinesiology in my practice?
This technique can help a practitioner find hidden underlying causes of a dysfunction and interpret the body as a whole. Applied Kinesiology is a valuable tool to support the progression of a patient and to achieve better, more efficient clinical results.
Where can I find Applied Kinesiology courses?
Applied Kinesiology courses are announced by your local chapter (country) — see the Seminars page for what’s currently scheduled. These courses are available to practitioners who hold a license to diagnose in their own country (MD, DC, DO, DD, RN) and to students enrolled in those programs.
Who can practice Applied Kinesiology?
Only the holder of a license to diagnose is allowed to practice Applied Kinesiology. These professions include: DC, DO, MD, DD, RN — see the Applied Kinesiology page for the full list of eligible professions.
Where can I find a certified Applied Kinesiology practitioner?
Go to the Global Chapters page and choose your country. It will take you straight to your chapter’s directory to help you find the nearest certified practitioner in your area.
How do I become certified in Applied Kinesiology?
Certification begins with a 100-hour Basic Applied Kinesiology course, taught by ICAK-certified teaching diplomates through your local chapter, followed by a rigorous theoretical and practical examination set by the International Board of Examiners.
